We built Auphonic to remove friction from podcast production.
In our view, you should be able to focus on your content, while the technical work happens reliably in the background. And when you're happy with your results, you can export your production directly to your hosting platform. And if your hosting platform isn't on the list yet — you can build your own integration using our API.
That philosophy shapes everything we build - from Loudness Normalization, to Noise Reduction, to Production Presets.
External Publishing builds on this idea: delivering your episode to your hosting platform without unnecessary downloads, re-uploads, or duplicated metadata entry.
You process your production once. Auphonic takes care of the delivery.
Why We Built External Publishing
Publishing your podcast manually is repetitive and it's easy to make mistakes: download, re-upload, copy metadata, and double-check everything.
External Publishing removes these steps. Connect your platform once and select it directly in your Production Settings.
After processing, Auphonic delivers your file and metadata automatically. If needed, you can enable Review before Publishing to approve the result before delivery.
Publish automatically, or review before delivery.
New Integration: Publish Directly to RSS.com, Acast, Scrybecast
We are happy to announce new integrations with RSS.com, Acast, and Scrybecast!
You can now export your productions directly from Auphonic to your chosen platform.
To set this up, go to your Services and add a new service.
Enter the name you want to have shown for your service and the API key provided by the hosting platform.
Enter your API key - provided by your platform - and the name you want to be shown in Auphonic. Save the service, then select it in your future productions.
You can then select and use these external services in your production workflow.
Once processing is complete, Auphonic uploads the final file and sends it directly to your platform. Your production appears on the platform automatically. No downloading and re-uploading needed!
Build Your Own Integration (Like Scrybecast Did)
You can build your own integrations - you are not limited to the ones we provide.
External Publishing works via a simple API. If your platform has an API, you can connect it to Auphonic.
Scrybecast is a perfect example: they built the integration themselves using our External Services API.
In practice, this means:
- You define how your service receives audio and metadata
- You connect it via API key
- Auphonic handles the rest of the workflow
With modern coding tools and LLMs, setting this up is no longer limited to experienced developers. We only step in for review and activation. The integration itself is fully in your control.
Check out our External Services API documentation to get started.
