Today we are thrilled to introduce revised parameters for the Adaptive Leveler to move our advanced algorithms out of beta.
The leveler can now run in three modes, which allow detailed Leveler Strength control and also the use of Broadcast Parameters (Max. Loudness Range, Max. Short-term Loudness, Max. Momentary Loudness) to limit the amount of leveling.

When we first introduced our advanced parameters, we used the Maximum Loudness Range (MaxLRA) value to control the strength of our leveler. This gave good results, but it turned out that only pure speech programs give reliable and ...

Last weekend, at the Subscribe10 conference, we released Advanced Audio Algorithm Parameters for Multitrack Productions:

We launched our advanced audio algorithm parameters for Singletrack Productions last year. Now these settings (and more) are available for Multitrack Algorithms as well, which gives you detailed control for each track of your production.

The following new parameters are available:

Today we released free updates for the Auphonic Leveler Batch Processor and the Auphonic Multitrack Processor with many algorithm improvements and bug fixes for Mac and Windows.

  • Linear Filtering Algorithms to avoid Asymmetric Waveforms:
New zero-phase Adaptive Filtering Algorithms to avoid asymmetric waveforms.
In asymmetric waveforms, the positive and negative amplitude values are disproportionate - please see Asymmetric Waveforms: Should You Be Concerned?.
Asymmetrical waveforms are quite natural and not necessarily a problem. They are particularly common on recordings of speech, vocals and can be caused by low-end filtering. However, they limit the amount of gain that can ...

Another year is coming to an end: time for Krampus and Nikolaus to rewards the well-behaved ones with gifts – and to fix some remaining bugs from 2015 in our desktop apps :) !
Today we release version 1.7 of the Auphonic Leveler Batch Processor and version 1.3 of the Auphonic Multitrack Processor.

  • Opus Encoder and Decoder:
We included an opus encoder and decoder in all apps. Opus is particularly interesting for podcasts due to its suitability for both, music and speech, and its outstanding sound quality at also very low bitrates. For more see Opus, the revolutionary open ...

We finally released our new Auphonic Multitrack Desktop App for Mac OS X and Windows!

Auphonic Multitrack takes multiple input audio tracks, analyzes and processes them individually as well as combined and creates the final mixdown automatically.
Leveling, dynamic range compression, gating, noise and hum reduction, crosstalk removal, ducking and filtering can be applied automatically according to the analysis of each track.
Loudness normalization and true peak limiting is used on the final mixdown.

Users of the Adaptive Leveler will automatically get a discount of -33% for Auphonic Multitrack.

Please visit our Auphonic Multitrack Processor Page for more information!

The Auphonic Multitrack Algorithms were released for paying users only, because they need much more processing time and are more complicated to use.
Now we opened them for free users as well, so that everyone can try our Multitrack Algorithms for short productions up to 20 minutes!

Our Multitrack Algorithms use multiple input audio tracks in one production: speech tracks recorded from multiple microphones, music tracks, remote speakers via phone, skype, etc.
All tracks must start at the same time, will be processed individually as well as combined and Auphonic creates the final ...

The Auphonic multitrack algorithms have been in Private Beta since May 2014 and after a long development process and many refinements, we are releasing them to the general public today!
UPDATE: More recent information about our multitrack algorithms can be found here!

Last week we presented our new multitrack algorithms at the Podlove Podcaster Workshop in Berlin. Lot's of users asked us about a multitrack version of our system before - now it's here and can be used!
We reworked all our algorithms and therefore start with a private beta program for our long-term users and supporters.
